Refund Policy
Last updated: August 6, 2026
1. What's refundable, and for how long
- Fees — class plans, renewals, and seat upgrades: fully refundable within 5 days of the purchase, no questions asked.
- AI credits: the unused portion of a credit purchase is refundable within 30 days of that purchase. Credits your students have already spent chatting are not refundable — that usage already cost real money to serve.
- After the windows:fees are final, and credits simply stay in the room — they never expire, so they're never lost, just no longer refundable.
2. How 'unused' is counted
Credits are spent oldest-purchase-first. When your class chats, the usage counts against the credits from your earliest purchase before touching later ones — so the most recent credit purchase (the one still inside its 30-day window) is always the last to be consumed and stays refundable for as long as possible. The dashboard does this math for you: the billing table shows the exact refundable amount next to each purchase.
3. How to get a refund
Dashboard → your school's Billing panel → the Refundbutton beside the purchase. School owners can issue refunds (teachers and viewers can't — a refund shrinks the whole school's service). The money goes back to the original payment method; Stripe typically takes 5–10 business days to show it on a statement.
4. What happens to the service when you refund
- Refunded credits are removed from the room immediately. If the room had already spent more than what's left, chatting pauses until someone tops up.
- A fully refunded plan pauses its room.
- A fully refunded renewal takes back the time it added; a fully refunded seat upgrade takes back its seats.
5. The fine print
- Deleting a room forfeits the credits in it (the delete confirmation says so) — delete after refunding, not before.
- Windows are measured from each purchase's own date, to the minute.
- We can always refund beyond this policy at our discretion — if something went wrong on our end, we will. Email us.
- Considering a chargeback? Please contact us first — self-serve refunds are faster than a dispute for everyone.
- This policy is part of the Terms of Service.
