The short version:Dr. Curiosity is an AI. It's a great study buddy and a fallible one — double-check facts, keep an adult in the loop for every experiment, and treat its suggestions as guidance, not gospel.

1. AI-generated content can be wrong

Dr. Curiosity's replies are produced by a large language model. They can contain mistakes, outdated information, or plausible-sounding claims that are simply incorrect — and the model won't always know when it's wrong. Facts that matter (measurements, safety properties, scientific claims going on a display board) should be verified against a textbook, a teacher, or another reliable source before relying on them.

2. Experiment safety is a human job

Science fair projects can involve heat, chemicals, electricity, tools, and living things. The mentor is built to steer students toward age-appropriate, safe project designs, but it cannot see your kitchen, your lab bench, or your child. Every experiment must be planned and carried out under the supervision of a responsible adult, following your school's and fair's safety rules. We are not responsible for injuries or damage arising from experiments.

3. Educational guidance, not professional advice

Nothing the mentor says is medical, legal, financial, veterinary, engineering, or other professional advice. It is educational support for a school project.

4. No promises about outcomes

We'd love your student to win the fair; we can't promise it. Grades, judging results, and learning outcomes depend on the student and the work — the mentor deliberately makes students do the science themselves.

5. Availability

The service depends on third-party AI and payment providers and, like all software, will occasionally be slow or down. We work to keep interruptions rare and short but don't warrant uninterrupted service. Liability is limited as set out in the Terms of Service, of which this disclaimer is part.
